  • The masterplan presents a series of bold moves that will enable the school to transform its two campuses to achieve creative, innovative and inspired design outcomes. The key driving idea underpinning this masterplan is the revelation of the inherent nature of the school sites, the urban structure of the Griffin’s city and an overriding desire to promote engagement and connection between the school and the city; between the school and the community; between staff, students and parents; and engagement on a global scale by creating a world class campus.

The design idea for the school is the school as a community meeting place much like a small village center, focusing spiritual, cultural, intellectual and sporting activities. It provides opportunities for the entire school community to gather indoors and outdoors at any time of the year to celebrate education, share ideas and engage with the wider community, and in the process build a special open learning environment. The new urban structure combines streets, paths, squares and green spaces to make a simple, legible campus that is accessible, easy to engage and understand.
