- Project Details
- Nestled in the topography of Gossan Hill, the two-storey design minimizes built footprint to maximise usable outdoor space, effectively activating previously unused steep topography.
With the articulate design of each level, the building provides flexible and interconnected indoor, outdoor and green spaces. Each floor includes five learning spaces, central inquiry space, staff accommodation designed for collaboration; and spaces for smaller meetings and workshops. The total floor area is approximately 1500sqm.
Sited along the western boundary the building maintains solar access to play areas but shields the green space from cold winter winds. The characteristic Radford materiality of red face brick, dark metal cladding and extensive roof overhangs seamlessly integrate the new facility into the existing campus.
