  • Stewart Architecture was engaged by the DOMA Group to prepare concepts for a high quality and sustainable mixed use development on this 2,5 hectare site adjacent to the Parliamentary Triangle.

The core planning concept was built upon the principles of allowing the existing street structure and layout to generate the urban pattern, and the adoption of a mixed land use philosophy. We aimed to optimise the development density on the site while adding value to the public realm by creating a new linked series of parks and meeting places.

From project inception, equal value was placed on the creation of a new public realm as well as the design of the buildings that would define that public realm. By opening up the site to greater public access a range of community benefits have been realised, including the creation of a new urban edge to the perimeter streets and a new central park.

Stewart Architecture went on to design all buildings within the Precinct.
