The Hotel Realm with its grand atrium and courtyard spaces is an important new destination for the entire city and for the Barton Community. Situated on the north western corner of the Realm Precinct, Hotel Realm makes an assured formal address to National Circuit.

The clarity of form, scale and design of the Hotel is directly responsive to the city form and urban structure. The atrium at the Hotel’s centre provides the focus for circulation and activity around which the hotel revolves, pulsates and organises its myriad of functions, activities and identity. Three building blocks combine to make up the hotel building forming the edges to the atrium at its heart.

Integral to the design of Hotel Realm is the use of pre-cast structural concrete to achieve a bold, geometric architectural language and provide an efficient, cost effective construction system. The high quality off-form finish with detailed façade articulation that continues through to the atrium establishes the clarity of form and level of sophistication that defines the Hotel Realm. At the detail level there is an emphasis on utilisation of natural light, natural ventilation and solar access.
