With street frontages to Northbourne Avenue and Forbes Street in leafy Turner, On Forbes builds upon the strong, modern aesthetic of Stewart Architecture’s previous developments which frame and reinforce Northbourne Avenue, Canberra’s new light rail corridor.

Consisting of two hundred apartments specifically designed to maximise light and space, a large central landscaped garden, private gymnasium ‘pavilion’ and communal roof top terrace on the ninth floor, On Forbes provides high level of amenity to its residents.

The architectural design has a timeless quality with a strong, clean aesthetic. The building is comprised a solid pre-cast concrete base that reflects the scale of Forbes Street and provides sense of enclosure and privacy to each residence. The upper five storeys float above the tree canopies of Northbourne Avenue, providing expansive views across the city and surrounding mountains.

“Urban transformations are taking place in just about every city as we try to become less car dependent and lead more sustainable lifestyles. On Forbes is part of this new move towards city living and this includes opening up new gateways to the parklands network and easy access to the ANU and the lake.” — Colin Stewart
