2026 ACT Emerging Architect Prize

We're incredibly proud that the 2026 ACT Emerging Architect Prize has been awarded to Tynan Freeman, Associate Director.

“Tynan's contribution to the Australian Capital Territory's built environment is marked by deep leadership and a commitment to the missing middle. From reimagining urban density in projects like MICA and Kashmir Apartments to his meticulous lived research in the Kingston Apartment Reconfiguration, Tynan consistently delivers designs that respond sensitively to context, climate, and community.

Beyond his practice, Tynan's advocacy as a Chapter Councillor and Chair of the Housing Quality and Choice Taskforce underscores his dedication to housing as a vital civic concern.”
